Specializing in MaineCare
Utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Affect Regulation techniques, our trained clinicians offer children a proven way to improve their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We also work to improve or to stabilize the member’s family living environment. This includes assisting parents, guardians and family members to better understand the child's behaviors and root emotional causes. Clinicians emphasize a strengths-based perspective, focusing on the client's, and support system's, strengths and capacity for growth and development.
Adults and Children
Clinicians trained in trauma-therapy offer a safe and secure environment to treat those who experience the lasting negative effects of trauma. Through therapeutic interventions, they work with clients to establish a greater sense of empowerment, a better understanding of automatic responses, and improved coping strategies. Clinician and client work collaboratively, with support systems, to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, generalized anxiety, self-injury, substance abuse, flashbacks, dissociation, eating disorder, revictimization, physical illness, suicide, and aggression toward others.
At Counseling and Trauma Therapy Associates, we work with a variety of adult populations, helping them lead more fulfilled lives. Clinicians offer services to improve functioning, reduce negative symptoms, promote growth, and increase client's sense of empowerment. Conditions treated, include: Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Substance Abuse, Mood Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders, Bi-polar, PTSD, Autism, and Relationship Issues.
