Springbrook Park

Dawn to Dusk

    This park is a sports complex that also has one of the nicest play sets in Scarborough. With this place having playing fields there is plenty of open space to roam. The bathrooms are also clean and open all year round. This park also has a .2 mile walking loop. A great place to see sports or to run around the fields.

Scarborough Marsh

    A .3 mile trail along Maine's largest saltwater marsh. The walking surface is grass and may be wet on some days. There is also a visitor center at the head of the trail next to the parking lot. The trail isn't usually very busy and parking is easy to find in the lot.

Willey Recreation Area

Dawn to Dusk

    A simpler playground and walking area down a neighborhood road. The parking lot is plenty big and right in front of the park there are bathrooms. One of the best parts about this recreation area is the loop around the perimeter. With the park being down a back road it is less which makes it a great place for a peaceful stroll.

Pleasant Hill Preserve

     This trail system is over 130 acres with over 1.5 miles of trails. It is very spread out and not very busy. This preserve features different terrain such as wetlands, woods, and fields. This creates the perfect environment to see all the wildlife thrive. On the trail you can also see the headwaters of the Spurink River.

Memorial Park

Dawn to Dusk

    By far the most popular park in Scarborough because it is truly beautiful. The town works very hard to keep it super clean and maintained. There is a pond with fountains, pickle ball, and corn hole. Memorial Park also has a new skate park in front of the parking lot. More information on this can be found at the bottom of this page. This park also has 24/7 bathrooms.

River Wildlife Sanctuary

Dawn to Dusk

    A 1 mile well maintained trail created to sight see the Marsh and River of Scarborough. The different loops route through an old golf course which looks pretty cool. The main 3/4 loop has a side trail that walks down to the river. The trail map can be found in one of the pictures too the right. This is a pretty easy trail but has some more moderate terrain in parts.

Fuller Farm Trail

    A 1.6 mile loop that has some of the best bird watching in the area. The trail has moderate terrain at parts and goes through both forest and fields. The trail easily gets muddy during the wet-season. Fuller Farm also features a waterfall bud sadly doesn't have any restrooms available.

Eastern Trail

    The 8.4 mile marsh section of the Eastern Trail. This one way trail travels through Old Orchard Beach to Saco. The main hub of the trail opening in the marsh is on Pine Point Road. This is a very well maintained and marked trail. There is no bathrooms at the parking lot though.

Warren Woods

24 hours

    A less popular trail system featuring a main 1.5 mile loop. One of the best parts about this trail is the amount of wild flowers. During the right time of year they are everywhere. The trail is marked well for the most part but there are no bathrooms.
